Beautiful hotel, spotless, charming staff, amazing food, great showers, secure ski room facilities. Ski trip with friends and our 9 year old son - the team at Hotel Schattauer could not have been more helpful - even going above and beyond to help us watch Scotland lose in the 6-Nations! 😀 Great location 50yards from free ski bus to the big lifts in centre of Wagrain. Thanks to all at the hotel for their hard work and a really enjoyable stay.

This is by far the best hotel we stayed in. Spacious and clean rooms, for the ski-boots there is a heated room where you can leave your boots to dry, next day they are warm and dry. Very good service from the owner and the staff: they do everything to ensure you have a pleasant stay. And also very important: very good kitchen. Every day they serve a delicious breakfast and meal in the evening.

We are a family with two sons of 13 and 15 years who travel relatively frequently. This is a very nice hotel with good food and friendly staff. We had half board and were very satisfied. Varied and exciting menu for adults. The children's menu was well adapted for children. The hotel is located near the ski bus and ski rental. The rooms were large and it was clean and fresh. A hotel we would love to recommend!

My family and I have stayed at this family driven hotel five times now. The reasons for our many returns are the polite, helpful, sweet and effective staff. The Beer family who runs the hotel are extremely hospitable and they make and effect to make every single guest feel welcome and special. The rooms are very nice and cozy. However the rooms are not modern, but that does not mean anything, because everything is well conditioned. Furthermore the cleaning is very good (every day), which is perfect. The hotel is ideal for a ski holiday. There is a depot for the skis in the hotel, and the bus is a 1 minute walk from the hotel. It takes 4-5 minutes to get from the hotel to the foot of the Grafenberg mountain, where from you can take the gondola to the top of the mountain and enjoy skiing. Additionally the breakfast is perfect and the 4 course meal every evening is also just wonderful.

We stayed for 6 days a group of family and friends to ski and we loved staying with Roland and his family. This is a family owned hotel and it is just so amazing and lovely to see the parents of the owner/ manager and they are all so lovely and easy to talk to. They go beyond and above to help you with what ever is needed during the stay. The rooms are very nice and comfortable, with very comfortable beds and the cleaners of the rooms do an amazingly good job keeping it clean and need for you through out the stay. The food is amazing and we will definitely come back some day.

The staff work hard, are very helpful and a pleasure to be around. The hotel restaurant serves high quality food, with numerous set courses. Lastly, the guest house offers a heated ski cupboard for your gear. Superb.
